Louisiana becomes 31st state to expand Medicaid
On June 1, 2016, Louisiana residents with incomes up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level will be eligible to start enrolling the state’s expanded Medicaid program, with coverage effective July 1, 2016. The state expects about 375,000 people to enroll in expanded Medicaid.
